Dear Jackson Jets Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year! I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful, restful summer. I am so
proud to continue serving as Jackson’s principal, and I cannot wait to see the smiling faces of our
students and families on campus once again. The First Day of School is Wednesday, August 12.

At Jackson, we are committed to our mission of ensuring high levels of learning in all subjects for all
students. This year, our academic focus will be specifically targeted to give our students the tools they
need to succeed. In math, we will be focusing on building strong number sense and problem-solving
skills. In writing, our goals are to help students strengthen their work through elaboration by
encouraging them to "say more”, and craft by teaching them to "write stronger."

Our dedicated staff has been working hard over the summer to prepare for these goals, and we are ready
to hit the ground running, supporting every single student as they progress throughout the school year.

This year, we are focused and ready to help our students continue SOARing to Success! As a reminder,
our SOAR framework guides everything we do. We challenge our students daily to be Successful
scholars, Outstanding citizens, AVID achievers, and Responsible and respectful individuals.

I am also thrilled to share some fantastic news about our campus. Starting this fall, Jackson will undergo
modernization to enhance our learning environments and facilities. I will host an informative meeting at
the beginning of the school year to share details. Stay tuned for the exact date and time!

Here is a quick look at what’s coming:

● Modernized Classrooms & Restrooms: Major upgrades to our existing facilities.
● More Amenities: Additional student and staff restrooms to reduce wait times.
● Playground Fun: A brand-new TK/Kindergarten playground, plus new swings for our students to
enjoy.
● Our First-Ever Parking Lot: A brand-new parking lot will be built from the ground up! This addition
will feature handicap-accessible spaces and will help free up surrounding street parking for our
community.

Thank you for your continued partnership, trust, and enthusiasm. Together, we will make this an
exceptional school year as we SOAR to Success!
